Won't happen. Expect Apple to release and support their MacOS and/or iOS to generic hardware first...
It's for the same reasons: both build hardware to run their software on and give their customers the best possible experience.
Only games that don't require paid online, has no pre-launch announced DLC, is solid 60fps, no glitches at all and gameplay that works. So basically no single Nintendo game that is not published by them.
that would mean I would have to buy multiple consoles assuming there are platform exclusive games so I would skip it all together. One of the reasons I stick with Nintendo is that I can buy all my fav games on their platforms.

I would buy everything... except for Super Smash Bros. As much as I love those series I can't play it with a Dualshit controller. I need a hardcore gamecube controller for it.

Fightsticks are for games like Tekken or Street Fighter, not Smash Bros. It would be almost as bad as Wii Remote controls without Nunchuk.
