The N64 controller is the best controller for the N64. I'll never understand why people hate it so much.

I think most people were fine with it until Sony released the Dualshock controller. You didn't need three different ways of holding it. You didn't need to buy a rumble pak. It was a controller that was good no matter what type of game you were playing. The only thing it was missing was a proper trigger button like what the N64 had.

I've used it, and it felt incredibaly small in my hand. I wish they could have made it larger. I like this better third party controller a lot better, though.

Plays much better than it looks. Plus, the Z Trigger was like an L2 button.

I have a Super pad 64 also and I don't think it is a good controller at all. The D-pad is much too large and prohibits fine movement like quarter-circle motions(no real good fighting games on N64 anyway but still. The Z trigger does not feel solid at all and is meant to be used with the middle finger which feels very awkward. The analog stick is ok but don't expect precision from it. The B, A and C button however are much improved and the C buttons are larger and more solid and are positioned in line with the B and A buttons much like the 6 button Genesis controller and the L and R buttons have a nice feel to them. The Hori pad absolutely smokes the SuperPad/Makopad(except the terrible positioning of the D pad...)

I'm assuming this is wireless. Which I wouldn't trust in the first place. But that thing is really bad. I don't get why people hate the N64 controller that much. The D-Pad is basically worthless in almost all games. You can get mad from the joystick failing though.

My dad never actually bought another first party controller after he won his N64. He had a Hori Pad and a Super Pad 64, plus the triple pronged Super Pad64.
