Do you think this is a better controller for the N64 than the N64 controller was?

I'm assuming this is wireless. Which I wouldn't trust in the first place. But that thing is really bad. I don't get why people hate the N64 controller that much. The D-Pad is basically worthless in almost all games. You can get mad from the joystick failing though.
