Nah. Zelda IS Nintendo. For anyone else to make a mainline 3D Zelda would be awkward and wouldn't feel right. Not everyone's going to like every Zelda game regardless. It doesn't matter who makes them.

Neither does Rockstar, and plenty of people liked Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess, which is the franchise's second best-selling entry after OoT.

It has always amazed me that Rockstar has not used its game engine for more games. They made Red Dead Redemption with the same engine as GTA IV (is Red Dead Revolver done with GTA III engine?). They made the Zombie DLC with the same engine.
