Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo is bragging about their high quality games :P

Well they did said CRITICS and FANS love their games. So both metacritic scores from critics and users were included. I don't see the big deal about it.

Really? Using user scores on Metacritic to brag about?
And did Bayonetta get a separated score from Bayonetta 2? If not XBOX ONE have a 4 in 1 to brag about too.

Yes:

http://www.metacritic.com/game/wii-u/bayonetta

And it is possible to buy Bayonetta separately from Bayonetta 2.

Also it is not about User-scores alone, but both Critic-score and user-score abovve 85. That's quite an accomplishment.

it's almost like users on this site are not familiar with Metacritic- it is extremely rare for the a game to be universally loved by critics and fans alike. I would argue that the fan/user rating is almost more valuable than the critics, because critics are so often persuaded to review in certain fashions

I would say both critic-reviews and user-reviews have their own problems, but different ones. So putting them together makes sense actually. That are two indicating data-points instead of only one. Still not the best metric, but the lead here is solid enough.

More problematic actually is, that 3DS and WiiU are longer on the market than PS4/XBO/Vita and therefore could gain more titles. But PR always do cherry picking, so it's OK that for once Nintendo gets a good result. But some people here can accept one good thing for Nintendo, while PR-cherry-picking in favor of the company they are supporting is always praised. *sigh*

Don't you mean "can't"?

I also put it forth that given the more heated competition between Microsoft and Sony due to sharing games on their platforms, user scores actually ARE more heated between them.

Yeah and these are the consoles with the "mature" audience...

They make the best games, they have the bragging rights

Well it's a bit cheap to take the user rating since haters don't play Nintendo games or even care for them, hence no unnecessary downgrading. The only thing this proves is that the mainstream is full of idiots.

You needed PROOF!?!?

Read the thing. User score AND Critic scores over 85. And yes, Bayonetta 1 did get a separated score.

For those complaining about the inclusion scores, Nintendo wins however you slice it. Only counting retail releases, it comes out to 32 on 3DS+Wii U vs 30 on PS4+Xbox One+PSVita. And that's counting each release of the game on each console separately, so it doesn't properly represent the degree of overlap going on on the various libraries. That's also counting remasters, of which the Wii U has 1 and the PS4 and Xbox One have 2 a piece. And if we go to full retail exclusives, the lopsidedness goes way up. So Stop with the downplaying and just take it for what it is. In a year filled with all kinds of anti-consumer practices and idiocy, it's good to see some devs (not just Nintendo mind you) not screwing up.

yup. lets use user metascores, because they arent filled with troll reviews, no, not at all.

I like it and i don't get the hate.

They need to advertise their system and what they have now is more critically acclaimed titles. Metacritic score is a excellent way to do that to the masses.

I also think it is good timing after the problems and disappointments of big titles this year like Watch Dogs, Destiny, Assassin's Creed Unity, Drive Club and MCC. In the end Nintendo needs to stand by the Wii U quality, both from a marketing and development perspective, since that's what they have left.
