Forums - Gaming - At my Best Buy we only have PS4 Destiny bundles which no one wants

There is no shortage of standard PS4's available. People that dont go to Best Buy can get it online or Walmart/Target/etc. If I was getting a PS4 I would wait for a BF bundle restock.

edit:Even if it doesnt come back Gamestop has PS4+ a free game(includes destiny, Farcry and others) for $400. Cant beat that.

edit 2:Somewhere here somebody just said you can get that deal with a 50$ giftcard at Walmart looks like Bestbuy just isnt the place to go for PS4 ATM.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Oh no, if Sony doesn't do anything then MS will win December NPD.... the horror!!! I'm sure Sony are extremely bothered by this with the PS4 being the fastest selling console of all time and all.

Do you realize how important NA market is?  Xbox one has been outselling it here for weeks now things are starting to change.

Less important than all the others territory combined in which PS4 is dominating ?

Why would Sony care about ONE country in which they may loose a SECOND month ?

Sounds like your store manager is a moron and not a problem on Sony's side. Maybe your store should order some more stock of the standalone model.

explain that to your boss...  uhh mr bossmen, we need more ps4s, but we have stock enough, we dont sale so much, so why ordering new? well mr bossmen those ps4s come with a turd, and noone wants to py 50$ extra for the turd...

Yes cause your analogy makes total sense......  That's like saying we have all these size large shirts that nobody is buying so let's not order anymore medium or small sizes until we sell the large.  Makes total sense.

Do you realize how the NA market is not even half as important to the PS4 as it is to the X1? Also it's not like the PS4 is selling poorly in NA, even if you're trying to make us believe that with your little tale.

And that is the point im trying to make . Sony is not doing enough in NA which is a huge mistake they should not give it up without a fight. The PS4 could be doing so much greater if Sony wanted it. I understand you hate it when people critisize your favorite company but facts are facts.

No, what I hate is when people make up stupid bullshit like this. Sony is not giving up, Sony just does not have any reason to panic. Not in the US. Most certainly not on a worldwide scale.

Not cutting the price of your console rashly because your competitor outsells you for 2 months a year, while you are still selling extremely well, is not something that deserves to be criticized but it's something that every half decent company would do. What do you think is going to happen now? You think the PS4 will stop selling? No, it won't, the PS4 will continue trucking along and raking in cash for Sony and in all likelyhood it will probably start outselling the X1 in the US again come next year. So there's really absolutely no reason to cut the price or to worry.

Yes, the most important 2 months of the whole year. November and December is when most people buy consoles millions of consoles get sold.  Come new year you will see how bad the sales will be for consoles I do not think Sony will make up for all the losses in Nov+Dec.

I trust no one, not even myself.

I do see a similar trend in my store where the the destiny bundle is being outsold by others. It's being outsold by our 2 WiiU bundles, and the PS3, and standard ps4 bundles. The AC X1 bundle saw a rise up to the black Friday week. But even with a gift card has dropped below the WiiU sales. I admire Microsoft efforts but as someone who works in consumer electronics I don't have much faith in xbox one in January if this is only a temporary price cut. so to me its not surprise that the more expensive bundle is selling the least.

Long term, the xbone is still in serious trouble. It is underpowered and lacks the exclusives of Sony. Over time, these shortcomings are only going to become more apparent.

Most of the people who buy the xbone this holiday based on the price cut are going to end up regretting it.

Let's see $350 Xbox One with 2 games (One that released November 11th) or a $450 PS4 with a game( that released September 9th).

The Parents are probably thinking, "hm...I can buy this $350 XBOX bundle AND Destiny for Jimmy and still have $50 for clothes and some socks." No parent is going to pay the extra $100 for less value unless the kid specifically asks for it or the parent likes PlayStation more than Xbox. Especially the families with multiple kids who trying to save money whenever they can.

Very true.

All of this is in the road map.
