Not cutting the price of your console rashly because your competitor outsells you for 2 months a year, while you are still selling extremely well, is not something that deserves to be criticized but it's something that every half decent company would do. Yes, the most important 2 months of the whole year. November and December is when most people buy consoles millions of consoles get sold.  Come new year you will see how bad the sales will be for consoles I do not think Sony will make up for all the losses in Nov+Dec.
