Forums - Gaming - At my Best Buy we only have PS4 Destiny bundles which no one wants

Maybe it's time to offer a $50 gift card on the SKU? Because no one is going to waste $50 extra to get a PS4 with a mediocre game when you can buy a GTA V and TLOU bundle for $399.

my argument makes sense, you ust butchered it with your bad bad analogy.

if you have 100 ps destiny bundles in you store you will be grilled if you order more ps4s. it doesnt make so much sense from a consumer oriented point of view,  but dont forget that 100 ps destiny bundles mean 40k $ just standing around. that makes it kind of hard to justify ordering more stock, even if it would make sense.  sony just made to much destiny bundles and channelstuffed em to hard.

How did Sony force retailers to have these products. Did they sneak a couple more onto the shipment without saying anything? Would love to know this.

you want some ps4s? here, buy the destiny bundle, the game is the greatestest game ever so yo will surely sale em fast.

you dont want em? well thats your problem, we dont have any other ps4s ready for shipping...

And we are back to a stupid store manager who ordered too much of one product over estimating it's appeal while failing to order other products that would actually appeal to people.  Sony did not force this store to over order Destiny bundles while failing to order other models.  My analogy still stands it just clearly went over your head.

Nah, Sony held them at gunpoint I reckon.

I thought people understood years ago that you cant channel stuff. RETAILERS order too much.

Sounds like your store manager is a moron and not a problem on Sony's side. Maybe your store should order some more stock of the standalone model.

explain that to your boss...  uhh mr bossmen, we need more ps4s, but we have stock enough, we dont sale so much, so why ordering new? well mr bossmen those ps4s come with a turd, and noone wants to py 50$ extra for the turd...

Yes cause your analogy makes total sense......  That's like saying we have all these size large shirts that nobody is buying so let's not order anymore medium or small sizes until we sell the large.  Makes total sense.

your analogy is just wrong, the size of a shirt is completly different...  if u had said color, that would made a good analogy, consumers chose colors, but they dont chose size they buy the size that fits.

At the stores I go to and the people I know who work there, the PS4 Destiny bundles sold out the first week on sale and I have not seen PS4 in stock since October, but they have plenty of Assassin's Creed X1 bundles. Funny how it's completely different where I work at huh?

Where are you in the country? I think the South is the PS4 territory, and the North is XBOX territory.

I'm in Maryland and during Thanksgiving week there were no PS4s in stock, just Xbox bundles.

That because Destiny is a turd and no one wants to touch it. If Best Buy really wanted to get rid of them they could have dropped the prices on it themselves and clear the space.

Oh, interesting...maybe I am wrong about that then. But obviously, some areas Xbox is more popular than the PS4 over Thanksgiving, evident in this man's statement and also in the 200,000+ sales difference between the XBOX and PS4.

Walmart is selling all the bundles with a $50 gift card. Sony is fighting back and will be fine in the December NPD.

Yes Destiny is crap, but the only bundles I saw witht he game were PS3 bundles, not PS4.I never saw a PS4 Destiny bundle in stock anywhere outside of amazon.Unlike the Titianfall bunlde, the Destiny bundle was not/is not sitting on store shelves months after release.

Must be a drought again because not many peope bought a X1 so MS would easily be able to have more consoles available for purchase.People rushing out in November just to buy a console to play would have to get an X1 if there are no PS4's available and the one that is is much more cheaper than a X1 less than $399.November is not the only month in the year anyway so this topic is pointless.
