Nothing will be a 'huge system seller' for WiiU. Get over that, stop giving yourself false hopes. WiiU will end up in sales like Gamecube or even below. Get over it. Star Fox U may give a short boost, like every high profile game, but it will wear off fast. Mostly will Star Fox sell to the Nintendo fans that already own the system. Other people may crave Star Fox and Zelda and Fire Emblem and Mario, but they feel Playstation or Xbox is giving them more value, despite the games. So no game will be enough to make them jump to WiiU. So Star Fox will not have a momentum changing effect to WiiU. If it would have happened, it would have been Mario Kart or Smash Bros. While these gave an effect, it doesn't totally change the destiny of WiiU. Star Fox will have much lower effect than these two titles.

Folks the Wii U is in a coma and on life support. She has been like this over a year. Just let her go peacefully, it's time for you to move on.

Star Fox helped sell a lot of SNES's and N64, but that's because the SNES had the FX chip and the N64 had the rumble park which was marketed brilliantly. Also, not many games were like Star Fox. I don't think a Star Fox game would have the same impact these days even if it was the best one ever made.

No, simple as that. Starfox is a second-tier kind of exclusive for Nintendo. It's great for the loyal fanbase but other than that, it garners little attention.

In terms of selling system its probably a LBP, meanwhile Zelda is an Uncharted.

Starfox will not likely push many units but will help with the overall catalog and help push units before, during and after its release.

Too niche

Any of Nintendo's games could be a true or major system seller if executed correctly. But thats if Nintendo does indeed execute it correctly.

A handful or so people will buy a WiiU to play the game, the rest of the Star Fox fans either already have the console or are ficticional =P
