Forums - Sony - I'm convinced it's impossible to deliver impressive graphics today

Take a look at this GAF thread:

See how a bunch of people complain the game doesn't look impressive. Not gameplay mind you, that's arguably subjective. No, apparently, the game's graphics are "just ok", and "looks like a PS3 remaster". Some people even spotted framerate drops to below 30. They're able to notice framerate drops of a game being displayed through a highly compressed stream, but nevermind that.

After this, I'm done. I'm fully convinced no game ever released will ever impress these people (which are just snobs the way I see it).

people always bitch about everything... "Looks like a remaster" they need to get their eyes fixed if they think texture wise this looks like the PS3 games...

Well, more and more is expected from each new gen, I suppose. I guess you should just let them be.

I felt the same way though...the facial tech is really impressive but other than that it didn't seem to impressive.

That being said PS3 wouldn't be able to handle such a big open level with all that detail at 1080p.

That's what happens when you hype people up with a E3 trailer and then the gameplay doesn't look as good.
Same goes for Zelda U.
Both look great regardless.

I don't know what some people expected from Uncharted 4 graphics-wise... I personally think it looks very good!

Some people will never be happy, or maybe when they can play with 2 cross titan for 100$

For me just the loss of aliasing on ps4, make me very happy on any game graphic wise, but more eye candy can't harm a game tough  :)

Depends on the game really... I am always impressed by "artistic" graphics over realistic graphics cause games like MK8 and No Man's Sky continue to impress me more than a lot of other realistic games do...

Don't get me wrong, UC4 looks fantastic, specially the graphics, but I mean, the mods that people can do on PC are pretty fantastic and we have already seen some amazing graphics on PC already... Obviously ND has their own tricks to make UC4 look epic but when you have Skyrim Mods and games like Starcitizen out there, its very hard to be zomfg impressed with anything really...

some parts looked good but it didnt remind me of the e3 trailer they showed. plus imo the rocks looked off for some reason.

And I'm still sure the game will look much better when I play it myself.
