Forums - Nintendo - Wii U is completely sold out online at Walmart

It is also becoming sold out at Best Buy online and Target online. Some bundles are sold out and others are still in stock. Really hope Nintendo does well this holiday season because I want Nintendo to support this console for another 3 years at least. I hope third parties will come back as well because there are a lot of adult oriented games I would like to play. I also think there is so much potential for the Wii U gamepad that many third party RPG studios can take advantage of. The Wii had great RPGs that I think the Wii U would make even better experiences for sequels and such. Even shooters beleive it or not can seriously benefit from that gamepad screen. So I hope Nintendo makes a great come back similar to how the 3DS did.

Trust me when I say that's what all of us want (except those idiots who believe that nintendo going third party is good)

It seems all of the major bundles are out of stock online.  In store it seems different.  Wii U seems to be available at most stores.

My 8th gen collection

I hope the Wii U has a good holiday. It deserves it at this point. At my local stores, it was sold out, with PS4 and Xbox One in strong supply.

Wii U sold out = means low stock

other systems sold out = they're just in high demand

pretty cool though either way, hopefully Wii U does better than the 2013 numbers of last year

NND: 0047-7271-7918 | XBL: Nights illusion | PSN: GameNChick

Probably because of low stock but good nonetheless.

Apparently Nintendo are managing Wii U inventory wisely.

Good news related to Nintendo never comes without some kind of "but", didn't you know? :)

Crying tears of joy, by just picturing Fragile Dreams with gamepad integration... It could be WONDERFUL. Same goes for Pandora's Tower and Arc Rise Fantasia.

Could just be low stock due to low confidence, in fairness.

A good sign regardless.

Wal has many wii u bundles, the most than any other store in USA and a good stock!I don't think that this is a consequence of low stock,at least for walmart.:P

We should ask spurge about his store wii u stock...:P

Except it's a perfectly reasonable conclusion. The PS4 and X1 have been in high demand for weeks, so naturally retailers will have been buying a lot of them ready for BF. The WiiU on the other hand has been doing pretty poorly all year in the US (with exception to major release weeks). It going out of stock due to low supply is an awful lot more likely than the PS4 and X1.

Not saying it is due to low supply, but the WiiU's situation isn't at all comparable to the PS4 and X1's. The same standards don't apply.
