I'm glad the GOTY edition is coming to 360/Ps3 too.
I think one or two of the remasters that have appeared though have been a little unwarranted. Sleeping Dogs on the PS4 for instance. Thats a strange one. More because it doesn't actually look much better than the old versions, it still doesn't run very well on new hardware, and the remaster is still way way behind that of the original PC version.

Then you explain why these releases are great ideas and a good business decision. I'm glad you're down with the cause kupo.

Awesome awesome awesome, Ruby and Sapphire remaster! Wow, Xenoblade port on 3DS?! Sign me up! GoTY Edition of Dark Souls 2 for PS4/XBone? Disgusting business practice... Mention age of games all you want, all scenarios are the same games with a few extra bells and whistles. We should be getting all new experiences, new games, not remakes and remasters left and right... right? |
Don't do it Euphoria! I beat around the bush, you should too.

I'd rather people realize how silly their arguments look.
Celebrating Pokemon/Zelda/Starfox etc... Remasters when by their logic they could have gotten a new entry into the franchises. Unfortunately consistency in arguments fly out the window depending on the current agenda.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Then they just complain about remaster's happening to early as if someone is going to wait 10 years to decide...hey I want to play dark souls 2

I haven't played my ps3 version yet, might as well sold it and buy the ps4 version.

I'm sure they know about as much as you about that since this is no remake

People will buy it so this unhealthy move is going to keep happening. Sadly. |
Please explain how this is "unhealthy". You probably think remaking very old games that few people want is more healthy than releasing complete editions of games a LOT of people want which just boggles my mind.
The only issue I have with this (at least the impression I am getting from the articles) is that the PC version will have to be re-bought again. For a platform that could have handled the reveal's graphics with ease. I hope a somewhat cheaper upgrade option is available. And I hope it applies that upgrade to your existing copy on steam, so you can keep all characters and saves. I don't see any good coming from splitting up the PC player base.
