Would be nice to have a DS2/Bloodborn bundle.

Bloodborne + Dark Souls 2 bundure for $439. Do it Sony!

A $399 price would be fantastic. Dreaming is still free I know.

Bandai Namco should make a Bloodborne + Darksouls 2 PlayStation 4 bundle with Sony. That would be beneficial for them both.

Any sane PS4 owner will pick up Bloodborne before DkS2.

I should certainly hope they support new content over recycled content.

There are so many rebuttals here that no one will do because VGC. Just noting that there's some irony with your complaints.

What, a remaster of Ocarina of Time? Sweet!
OMG, a remaster of Majoras Mask!!! Yay!!
Awesome awesome awesome, Ruby and Sapphire remaster!
Wow, Xenoblade port on 3DS?! Sign me up!

GoTY Edition of Dark Souls 2 for PS4/XBone? Disgusting business practice...

Mention age of games all you want, all scenarios are the same games with a few extra bells and whistles. We should be getting all new experiences, new games, not remakes and remasters left and right... right?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Yay another last gen game getting an HD remastered that nobody asked for, but good for the small handful of people that are actually looking forward for this.

Furthermore, its giving free content to those who actually own the game, so this is actually good for all gamers.

Except those of us who actually want something new out of this creatively bankrupt generation.

Considering that Bloodborne, the most anticipated game on Ps4 is coming before this version of DS2, it is safe to say you have no idea what you are talking about.

Considering that this is yet another case of the gaming industry feeding us reheated leftovers instead of investing that effort into fresh experiences, yes I do know what I am talking about.

It was happened before on PS1 era, most of popular SNES games ported to PS1, and also because PS4 and Xbox one doesn't have any backward compatiblity

Well both console are the frontliner of core video games industry so like it or not they are here hommies  :)

Like 90% of ports on next-gen are from games that came out at the very end of the last generation where sales are historically lower because of diminished consumer interest. They can recoup the loss by porting the games to current generation. It's as simple as that.

At this point the tools to do ports from Gen7 to Gen8 are probably well documented and a pretty streamlined process is set up.

To that end, this SHOULD be a no-brainer in terms of ease of porting making the cost investment absolutely minimal. A new game is stratospherically more expensive than a port, unless the port is massively remastered, but even in that case you still don't have to re-do voice acting, motion capture, sound production, storyboarding,, etc.

It's not black and white, sort of like moneyhatting. Moneyhatting a game that would otherwise be binned, or can't find funding, is not a bad thing. Moneyhatting a game that's already financed for multiplatform is evil as shit. Remasters that basically fluff out early-gen libraries with games that some players might have missed (or players miss them due to not being able to afford an 8th gen console without selling their gen7 stuff off entirely) are a good thing unless they significantly drain resources that could help other games bigtime.

And in this case, I really doubt it. A small team could get the remaster done with a shoestring budget here.
