Forums - Nintendo - IGN gives Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire a 7.8 because of too much water.....

Just ignore the review guys, it really should read 8.7 /s

Anyway not exactly surprised, it seems like review sites hire bums off the streets to write their reviews these days.

Both are sitting at Metacritic 84.

Considering IGN could be the most influential site nowdays, this tells me this 6.8 was more of a personal thing.

" Still, a few of its flaws are even more glaring in 3D, especially the excess water Pokémon and often dull navigation of their habitats"

So too many water pokemon in battles, and the fact that navigating water is dull and tedious. Are YOU freaking kidding me? Ignore all the points and taking it out of context is what you're doing.

If moving in water is boring and sucks, then they should've either

a)Had less areas were you have to move in water
or preferably
b)Making it interesting/less tedious to move in water

BTW the score is now 7.8 The 6.8 was probably a typo.

I stopped taking IGN seriously a long time ago.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

This thread makes me laugh...

1. Its a review, someone elses opinion.
2. If this was any other game thats not pokemon or nintendo game id be reading a bunch of "pre order cancelled" or "what a flop".

7.8

Apparently you're not far off from the truth.

Are you freaking kidding me? It's a tropical setting, of course there's gonna be more water. What about Wind Waker HD? That had way more water than Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, and you guys (IGN) gave it a 9.8!

I feel like you and everybody else in this thread didn't actually read the review, but skipped to the end to see the score.  If you read the review you would know that his complaint about water is primarily about the over abundance of water type Pokemon.

And also that moving in water is tedious and dull.

Might wanna edit the title. They gave it a 7.8, not 6.8.
