And have no interest in playing the second game without it.

Why? Their stories are not connected. It's like saying, I won't buy TLoZ: Skyward Sword because I've never played Spirit Tracks.

Bad anology. A more fitting one would be not watching Halloween 4-8 if I couldn't get a hold of Halloween 3. When that movie has no link to the whole series. The point is I wanted both. And not a down port, on top of a locked system game. I have no real drive to buy the series without it. Don't want to go near Gamestop. Don't want a N3ds.

I've never seen them, so I can't comment on your analogy. Did you also intend to play Xenogears and Xenosaga? They have as much connection to Xenoblade X as Xenoblade chronicles.

You do know that Xenoblade can still be played on WiiU.... the Wii version.

Well I admit that NEW 3DS install based will be smaller except that Xenoblade will be an "exclusive game for the new console". The handheld market open up a new group of customer. The sales of Bravely default shows interest in RPG even in North america.

Xenoblade HD would of made sense a year or two ago.... not in 2015. Let's get excited about Xenoblade Chronicles X instead.

Yes, but because of supply issues many Wii owners who wanted to buy the game were not able to recieve a copy, and for those who do have copies a version rendered at 1080p with enhanced shading and lighting effects certaiinly would sell.

The New 3DS is not a new console though. It's just a revision, and a poor one at that. Bravely Default is a handheld friendly JRPG (you can play the game in increments.) Xenoblade on the otherhand is not.

As for myself. I don't even have a Wii U yet, and I have a 3DS XL that I don't plan to upgrade. I purchased my copy of Xenoblade for the Wii at $70,  and I played it halfway through on my Wii and halfway through on Dolphin (@ 1080p.) So honestly I don't care if the game came to Wii U or not. I just wanted to point out in my original reply that it wouldn't be really hard to make an HD version, especially after seeing what the dolphin community has done, and what Nintendo has done with Windwaker HD. I just wanted to fact-check you on this sentence alone, "such a massive game would take forever to remaster.

I think the process of remastering and testing would take a long time... At least 6-9 months depending on the size of the team.

Similar to Windwaker and Last of Us ..... but Xenoblade HD would not have the same appeal has these two games.

That's not a long time. That is a very short time. In fact, I doubt Xenoblade new 3DS will take that short of a development time. It is much harder to port the game to the new 3DS ( a console of similar power and with a vastly different architecture) than to a console which is at least a generation ahead in performance and which shares the same architecture as the Wii. There is vastly more testing involved when using a different architecture, because you need to rewrite more code.

I WILL buy it for N3DS and I WOULD by it in HD for Wii U. It's my favorite game of all time, so for me they can't really go long by making it portable (3DS) or better (in HD on Wii U). That being said, I'm beyond hyped for Xenoblade Chronicles X as well.

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

Why do so many people always want HD remastered games?
Am I the only one who actually wants a new game?

I don't think it's worth it for them. The game probably won't sell that much.

No, you're not the only one. I am old enough to remember a time when this crap would get panned. Back when getting a new console meant getting games that were developed ONLY on said new console and weren't last gen ports with polish.

The average human being is a slave to corporations and public opinion. They are incapable of critical thought. It's best to accept that sad reality and just go your own way.

The best analogy is saying "I won't play FF9 until I play FF8."

How about Nintendo X Square Enix X Namco Bandai XenoGearSagaBlade HD.

I would have to agree with this analogy also.
It is more in line with Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy.

The games generally do not relate to each other whatsoever.
The only thing they share is some of the same monsters/creatures within their universe.

The games are more of a spiritual sequal rather than an actual sequal/prequal/interqual or anything between.

Waste of resources in my humble opinion; most Wii U owners will own either a Wii or a New 3DS.

Focus on actual new games.

I think that perhaps they could expand the Virtual Console line and include Wii games on there.
Some Wii games are hide to find and being able to download some of the Wii's stellar lineup would be fantastic.
The Wii U is backwards compatible so I do not see why this would be a problem.

This however, will most likely occur on Nintendo's next console. It will be backwards compatible with Wii U, and everything else will be Virtual Console.
