It's 13.5 million shipped as of September 30th. VGChartz had the PS4 at 11.4 million sold through at that point. The PS4 is wwwaaaayyyyy undertracked here.
To give an example, Sony announced 10 million sold through as of August 10th. VG has the PS4 at 9.74 million the week ending August 9th and that's after adjusting it up after the news...

pretty much a know quantity though. i mean,.. it's selling on par with wii unit wise so far but doing so at a price tag that is $150 higher.
I think Sony will aim to ship at least 20M by the end of this year, so 1.5M for October, 2.5M by the end of November and another 2.5M in December, putting that together with the 13.5 by the end of September.

I'm pretty sure it said straight up in the financial report that they'd shipped 13.5 million by end of september.

Yeah, I totally forgot about the F2P titles. I have not played a single one on my PS4. The number is still impressive though.
But I will play Planetside 2 for sure.
