Talking about characters? Then yes, but most likely not mii's (not confirmed) and we dont kno about dlc (mewtwo)

I need Mega Man, Ike, and Toon Link in my life... NOW!! I wish I wouldn't have to wait either... Only Amiibo's worth getting in the 1st set for me is Link and Luigi for me... If Samus was in a game I'd get her too...

All of the amiibo so far look exactly the same as the trophies you get in game (or the character models you can see on the official site), probably to strengthen the connection they have with the game, I doubt they're going to change them.

That said, I think these look quite nice and I very much prefer the clear plastic over some of the colours chosen in the first batch.

Anyway still not really intested in any of them, waiting to see if they will actually make thes NFC Cards they were talking about

This. Plus the other games' Amiibos, because they are still doing those? Maybe those will have normal poses.
Still I think Toon Link (no pee), Yoshi, Kirby and Mario would be good for the multi-compatibility.
