Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Reggie, implies that there isn't a big difference between Xbox and PS4

I agree.

The average consumer wants 3rd party games, so the average consumer is satisfied with either PS4 or X1. The best selling games are generally on both platforms.

People buy the Wii U primarily for Nintendo games.

I would disagree with the claim that Nintendo targets "A wide range of demographics". Quite the contrary, Nintendo appeals to a very small number of demographics, and these just happen to be some of the biggest ones.

And honestly, it doesn't really matter if there's little to set the PS4 and Xbox One apart. If either of them has a high-profile game that the Wii U doesn't have, then people are going to buy the PS4 or Xbox One, and not a Wii U. In this case, you could treat the PS4 and Xbox One as a single entity compared against the Wii U, and in this case, there is a LOT to set them apart.

I guess he also thinks there is no difference between the Wii U and a current gen console.

That being said, I currently own 5 Games for Wii U and 2 for PS4.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

This guy is a bigger douche than pachter. Every statement he makes is more foolish than the one before.

I'm implying that there's a vast difference between them and Wii U though, which is something he should probably be more concerned about now that the PS3 and 360 are very near their death throes and there soon won't be any 7th gen ports flowing in at all.

Anyone else notice that Nintendo are being more unpleasant now than in the 7th gen? They seem almost more cocky now than when they were the market leader.

They were cocky last gen as well. Nintendo is a hard headed company and as i said before, reggie is billing nintendo as unique yet they are publishing platinum games titles and boasted on the news about having the most powerful version of cod and got corrected by the female anchor.  Its obvious that they tried to win back the core and moderate gamers who play third party and got their asses handed to them, so now they are flipping the script.

When Reggie's blatantly right, all you can do is make digs at the WiiU's sales.

Well the sales imply the Wii U should be more like the other machines. What they're doing doesn't have mass market appeal.

If they can somehow drop that tablet controller, things could be better.
