One of the best games to come out of the 7th gen in my book.
Outrageously fun in a way far too few games are.
Worse than Polygon.
So, umm when we say...hey Rol, would you kindly review *insert game name*. We mean that you review it and give it a great score. Maybe you understood that but our cheques bounced.

Who needs a story if you could have a sexy woman kicking ass in a you-cannot-believe-it game world?

No no no, you don't get it, the story was meant to be absolute nonsense... Or so I was told, heh.
| bunchanumbers said: I actually liked the story and the world the game is involved with. It was refreshing to see that there were otherworldly forces that impacted the real world. Even if it happened on a secret level. As for the failing a QTE and dying, it sounds to me like you just needed a little more practice. |
It's not that easy. If a QTE is an obstacle to continue the game/a cutscene, it is of a very small gameplay-value. You can look at it as a form of a 'Continue'-Button, but one that is a bit harder to hit. In principle activating witch time is also a QTE. You have to press a button in the right time after an visual input to achieve witch time. But that is different, because it isn't essential. If you can't activate with time the game will not end or you lose instantly. It may make you live a bit harder, but it isn't essential. Achieving the witch-time QTE is a bonus for you as a player.
To the QTEs in question - they are not especially hard, they are surprising. You watch a cutscene and at some point you get presented a QTE. If you fail to react (and in most cases I did), you die and repeat at the same cutscene. But now you know there is a QTE coming and I could achieve it without a big problem. So it isn't a case of to little practice, these QTEs are actually bad design. Luckily there aren't to much of them, but if you are interested in a good score on your first run (I'm not and not interested enough so that I expect I do not a second run) these are actually very mean. Because it isn't really your fault but the death will reduce your score.

Well, as I played Bayonetta diretly after hyrule Warrior, I have clearly to state that for me personally HyWa is WAY more fun. Not that I say Bayonetta is extremely bad, I like the design of the angels and the fights are good, but for me HyWa is the better overall experience.
biased reviews in my opinion are useless. Let me give a biased review of a game genre I generally don't care for. TLDR game sucks. The end. Kthxbye

That's not a review, that's a hit and run. Which is unfortunate, because you're passing up multiple opportunities for hilarity.
