3rd party games sell systems and the best place where to play them is PS4



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Yeah I replied to him in that thread as did others but of course he had nothing to say about that off the wall prediction. But then had the nerve tos ay that this thread was cringe wrothy...no that "prediction" was cringe worthy lol. No data or logic to back it up....it just seemed like pure hatred just to hate or something because it made NO SENSE.

Wii sold 19,508,070 by the end of 2007.  More than 4 Million were sold in December of 2007

in 2008 the Wii added another 24 million sold making it 43,595,125 sold.  Not a single month sold less than 1 million consoles in 2008 and it sold 5.5m in december of 2008

So while PS4 is doing good and it is certainly on a level that matches Wii in certain ways, the Wii was practically sold out for two years because Nintendo had no idea it would be as popular as it was.  With that said the PS4 has a lot to live up to.  You have to congratulate Sony for what they have been able to achieve but it has to keep up its pace as well.

Either way i expect PS4 will outsell Wii lifetime

PS4 has a very good chance of shipping 18-19M by year's end. Maybe even 20M, optimistically. Nearly half that 50M after 1 full year and some change on the market? But 50M shipped by March 2016 is flat out not happening? Even though sales naturally pick up in a console's second year on the market? Not to mention, it's not a valid comparison. Wii was on the market for 3 1/3 years by March 2010. PS4 in March 2016 will only be 2 1/3 years on the market.

As far as 24.4M, again not a valid comparison. March 2009 for Wii would be 2 1/3 years on the market (Nov 2006 - March 2009). March 2015 for PS4 would be 1 1/3 year on the market (Nov 2013 - March 2015). How are those equivalents? If PS4 beats what it did this year (nearly 3M sold (not shipped) 4 months after the launch window) and it does optimistically well (as in, that 20M mentioned above), it will equal what Wii did a whole year ahead of when Wii reached that benchmark, in the same time frame.

Or am I completely misreading your statement? Or maybe you have the dates wrong for Wii?
