With all due respect, the OP predicted in another thread that PS4 and XBO would be 1:1 in Japan. So yeah.

He also predicted this...

EDIT: I think I found the post you were talking about (http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=5942920 )

Yikes...  while equally as outrageous, I was referring to this gem:

OP - " I predict that by Q1 2016, Xbox One will outsell the PS4 in USA 3:1. in Europe 2:1. And Japan will be 1:1 ratio it can go either way."

2016 is far away anything can happen.

Yeah except what you said lol!

If you are always ignoring the ps4 exclusives, pretending they don't exist, discrediting and ignoring indies and the superior 3rd party games then I can see how someone can be confused. It's really not hard to understand why Ps4 is selling better if you remove bias and look at reality. Better hardware, higher quantity and quality of games. That is why. Better games, more games, better hardware. Hardware designed first and foremost for games and not as an after thought like Xb1 was.

Exactly. I'm going to ignore all the reasons it's selling better than the XB1 and then I'm going to ask the question, why is it selling better than the XB1? I'm seeing this all over the internet at the moment and it's mindboggling.

Considering how badly PS3 lost last generation it's pretty surprising to me that it's winnng now (strictly talking about US). Will see how things play it but I think regardless of how much X1 does or doesn't catch up MS has already taken a step back this generation compared to last generation.

Momentum.

1. Word of Mouth runs fast: People are well aware that multiplats run better or at a higher resolution than Xbox One. My 360 friends don't own 8th gen consoles, but they are well aware that PS4 has the better hardware.
2. We aren't that forgetful nor that forgiving: The DRM catastrophe is still in our heads and while MS has been undoing all their wrongs, we let our guards down and they'll bring it up one again.
3. Steam made us greedy: So $350 and free game. Just last year it has $550 with a free game and Kinect. Well with the steam sales mentality obviously you wouldn't want Xbox to do well on sales, because if they don't they'll just keep dropping the prices and giving out more game.
4. Playstation brand is strong: Had Sony not screwed up with PS3 launch and the Cell processor, Playstation would have been king of the 7th gen specially coming off the greatness that were the PS2 and the PS1.

This momentum never lasts

Apparently you still have a chance after the new price cuts announcements in US so it can still win some NPD.

Because playstation consoles are like wine they get better with time, and at the end of each gen they end up as the best console
ps3 is easily the best console of last gen, and in many ways the best console to own now
ps2 , the best console
ps1 same thing
well thats my opinion but they were many fantastic games released on these consoles

The loyalty argument needs to die in the US.
1.) Atari
2.) Nes: Nintendo | So much for that Atari loyalty
3.) Genesis: Sega becomes a big contendor | Nintendo's previous dominance didn't keep Sega at bay in the US
4.) PSX: Sony | Loyalty didn't help Atari, Sega, Nintendo win
5.) PS2: Sony | So much for that Sega and Nintendo loyalty
6.) Xbox 360: Microsoft | So much for Sony loyalty
7.) PS4 | So much for Microsoft loyalty

Yeah there is no loyalty.  People buy what is best at the time.
