sony had only one exclusiv that had real impact, and that was ff7 in the ps era.
after that, sony had some great exclusives, but they didnt sold well.
last gen, uncharted 3 just sold 6,5m games that below 10% attachment rate. im not even sure if they sold more 1sr party games than consoles.
the only first party game of sony that had a rate above 10% was gt5. (if it sold consoles or not u can argue, but it was no killer app)

I'm not denying that having a great attachment rate for one game is good, but you can't either just remove any exclusive below 10% to make a lot of exclusives equivalent to zero exclusives. In fact, the effect of exclusives is probably cumulative, especially if exclusives are in very different genres. And Sony has plenty of them. I would buy a playstation for uncharted, a friend would not care but buy it for GT. I was very pleased with a few sega games that were exclusive to the PS3, and I take it into account, whatever the games sold.
