+1 for better marketing for sunset overdrive... im pretty sure i saw a tv commercial for it

Bayo2 is getting advertised. A lot, too, by Nintendo's standards.

Heck, I know more people at current who are aware of Bayo2 because of the whole Gamespot 10/10 or other 10/10s than are aware much of anything about Sunset. I mean pretty much any and all gaming sites were all over the game for its mega-reviews... then again, no one I know is "that" casual of a gamer.

Why is there no Bayonetta 2 bundle? :/

Already seeing multiple ads for Sunset Overdrive on TV. This isn't even going to be close. Nintendo just doesn't appeal to the demographics that would make something like Bayonetta successful, and even on PS4/X1, a game like Bayonetta would probably be niche.

Sunset easily.

XOne has a fanbase waiting to explode.

Wii U only has the Nintendo faithful who Bayo doesn't appeal to.

While I hope Bayonetta 2 sells better, judging by wonder 101 and similar exclusives I expect Sunset Overdirve too.

Battle of teh moneyhats :O

I think Sunset will sell better.

Sunset Overdrive.

Just based on Wii U sales trends its hard to imagine Bayonetta 2 doing well.

From reputable studios who've published great, highly acclaimed games in the past, but rarely have titles that sell well.

Im sure this has been pointed out already but

1 Spyro the Dragon PS 1998 Platform Sony Computer Entertainment 3.36 1.36 0.07 0.21 5.00
2 Spyro: Year of the Dragon PS 2000 Platform Sony Computer Entertainment 1.93 1.58 0.00 0.19 3.71
3 Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! PS 1999 Platform Sony Computer Entertainment 2.14 1.21 0.01 0.17 3.52
1 Ratchet & Clank PS2 2002 Platform Sony Computer Entertainment 1.44 1.01 0.57 0.30 3.33
2 Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando PS2 2003 Platform Sony Computer Entertainment 1.44 0.83 0.26 0.25 2.78
3 Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal PS2 2004 Platform Sony Computer Entertainment 1.31 0.74 0.31 0.22 2.57
1 Resistance: Fall of Man PS3 2006 Shooter Sony Computer Entertainment 1.68 1.70 0.14 0.73 4.25
2 Resistance 2 PS3 2008 Shooter Sony Computer Entertainment 1.13 0.82 0.10 0.38 2.42
3 Resistance 3 PS3 2011 Shooter Sony Computer Entertainment 0.61 0.53 0.05 0.21 1.41

Thier 3 trilogies seem to have done quite well imo

And once again they hae the backing of the console manufacturer, they have a heap of advertising and even a console bundle.

I wouldn't call Bayonetta 2 a "money-hat", given that it wouldn't even exist without Nintendo's backing. I don't know the word on Sunset, however.

In regards to the topic, I expect Sunset Overdrive to win this one, even if by a hair.

It could very well have existed if Sega had manned up and taken responsibility for its publishing as they did with the first one. If that wasn't an option it could have been kickstarted because the fanbase is loyal.

So don't tell me it wouldn't have existed without Nintendo. It got money hatted, end of story.
