Glad to be helpful, haha. :)

Conduit 2 came out in 2011, towards the end of Wii's lifespan. It's a bit rough around the edges, with an inconsistent tone and some glitches, but the gunplay feels great and the graphics are among the most technically advanced on the system:

A bit?, I damn nearly cut my eyeball looking at that.

I was not speaking visually, I was talking about the game itself; its tone, mechanics, etc. It's uneven to say the least.

I think Ninty would do better publishing home console games on other consoles, and drop their home consoles, imo. It's clear that the market can't handle 3 at once.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

Nintendo doesn't ''push hardware'' in most of their titles. They work comfortably within its boundaries to achieve the look their looking for.

This.

The last Nintendo game that pushed their console hardware technically was Mario Galaxy 2, more than four years ago.

They clearly have no interest in exploring Wii U's limits. The most advanced Wii U games to date have been third party efforts; Trine 2 Director's Cut, Art of Balance...

I think Captain Toad looks gorgeous and Wind waker HD is still among the best looking games of all time IMO, art style always wins for me.

The system isn't pushed to its limit until Fast Racing Neo says it is. Even then I wouldn't be surprised if Shi en Media makes something even more mind blowing. I wish they would find a way to make a Wii U version of Skyrim. I'd live there.

No console can ever be maxed out, new techniques always come along, in the end you just start trading off one area to improve in another, for whatever fits best for you game.

Maxing out hardware has always been a stupid comment.

Looks at Bayonetta 2... Err... i have no idea what this article is on about! :D

And he thinks he's a geek..? lmfao

Object oriented programming stops the different CPU architecture being a major problem. The only extra 'work' is using a different SDK but the same thing applies when porting between the PS4 and Xbox One too. Developers have been porting between different CPU architectures for years, it really isn't a major problem.

As for 'reaching the limits of the Wii U hardware' they're not even close.

Nintendo needs to attract new studios, maybe even totally unknown ones. The folks at EA, Ubisoft, Activision (read: mass market, easily money making entertainment) won't take risks but lots of great companies started with a small risk. That is what Nintendo has to be after. People who have a vision, an idea, that wouldn't work on "normal" consoles or PC and where raw power doesn't matter much.
It's definitely another market Nintendo tries to go after but they should invest more and not just sit there with a few exceptions from Platinum and Retro.
