Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo has reached the limits of the Wii U hardware?

No, it hasn't. Considering how little Nintendo seem to care about properly pushing the hardware (outside of what they deem artistically necessary), it likely never will be maxed out either.

Agreed, though I expect FAST Racing Neo to come close, and perhaps Zelda Wii U at least as far as scale goes.

right. And for generations I've been a multiconsole owner, so if they're so smart, why have I, along with MANY others, not bought an X1 or ps4?...i don't plan to buy either until June 2 2015...for Batman, and then after that i want to play uncharted 4, tomb raider 2 and resident evil, which truthfully i could play on ps3.

It's a shame too. Power wise the WiiU is pretty much a potato, but it would still be nice to see exactly what it's capable of. That's half the fun of static hardware :/ (from a technical perspective, anyway).

A delicious potato :D

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Even if they do hit their graphical limits on the WiiU, I will still be happy with the vector-like cartoony graphics a lot of Nintendo games have. I've grown to enjoy them a lot more than "realistic" graphics in a lot of other recently released games. Don't get me wrong, realistic graphics look amazing on the PS4/Xbox1 (and better on high end PCs), but my personal preference currently leans toward Nintendo's art style.

Did Xbox 360 and PS3 get maxed out within two years?
Will PS4 and Xbone?
No?
Then why would Wii U?

From the same guy who posts most of them. amiright? lol.................

But seriously folks. If you really think  Wii U "has already shown everything it can do" graphically.....I'm sorry....but you're not right in the head.

EVERY game console has had it's best looking games come out years after it's initial launch. It's gaming history. Do some ****in' homework.

That gif of Ghirahim is going to give me nightmares all night... :-/

On a side note, I call BS. Skyward Sword came out 5 years after the Wii came out. It is clearly one of the best looking games on the console.

I'd definitely contest that. It had an interesting art style, but technically there are much better examples of the Wii being pushed late in its life, I reckon.

Well, I'd say that Xenoblade Cronicles looks better, but I can't really think of another example... Care to share?

It isn't maxed out on the other Nintendo probably won't max the U out due to the cartoony styled games perhaps a metroid or F zero will change that but beside those games Nintendo has nothing that even VISUALLY comes close to uncharted 3 Both GOW 3 or the last of us, neither will they.

The question would be will Nintendo dig deeper and produce ratchet and clank a crack in time like visuals or will they not

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
