To be fair, PS4/Xbone are not as high end for their time as PS3/360 were. Not that that's a bad thing; nobody wanted "$599 US dollars" all over again.

Yes but they dont really need to be.  When you consider "high end" this time around on a PC then you are factoring in resolutions thats the Xbox and PS4 dont even need to worry about such as 1440p and above.  High end on a PC these days is taking gaming above 1080p rather than on it or under.  PC gaming in the main is done on a monitor where by the minimum is probably 1080p these days and more often than not now go above and beyond that.  Console gaming is still I would guess done 99.9% of the time on a 720p tv or a 1080p TV and not a 4K screen which is the next logical step up.

At the end of the day, if a console, no matter what generation it is, can outperform a PC in a similar price bracket, then it is achieving what is has set out to do.  And you cannot replicate PS4 graphics, 1080p or 900p or whatever, on a PC which costs the same as a console.

Like I said, it's not a bad thing that PS4/Xbone/Wii U aren't cutting edge. It saves us having to pay an exorbitant price.

Honestly, Wii U graphics are satisfactory to me, so 1440p and such isn't even on my radar.

Exactly.  And the thing is, 1440p or whatever, isn't on the vast majority of console gamer radars either because they don't have the TVs to run it, and dont want to fork out the money to do so.  If a game looks good on a standard HD telly, then thats more than good enough.  And people saying that the latest generation games dont look good enough either have something wrong in the head, or a PC gamers just giving it the old master race rubbish which is...by itself...quite sad.

PREDICTIONS FOR END OF 2015: (Made Jan 1st 2015)

PS4 - 34M - XB1 - 21m - WII U -12M

I'm don't have a problem with games at 30FPS but the bullshit some devs are saying is extremely annoying. They are thinking we are dumb or something...

I agree completely. 60fps isn't worth what it costs in terms of machine resources. Every game I've played at 30fps is perfectly enjoyable and I've never, ever thought, "I wish this were 60fps." It wouldn't bother me one bit if rock solid 30fps became the industry standard.

so u never played a fast fps or racing game?

I repeat... 900p? 30fps? This is the so-called next gen?

You guys do not realize how full of shit thee industry is. Just eat up the words of your favorite corporation and when they backtrack, the followers look just as silly as the company themselves. Maybe next generation we will actually see the things promised to us. Stop giving these liars any sort of play.

Why is Ubisoft pressing so much on this whole 30FPS vs 60FPS debate?

Because they seem to not know what the "No comment" button is.

No one is saying 60 fps doesn't have a place.  It most certainly does in games like arcade racers, Twitch FPS games like COD, or games like Tekken, Streetfighter etc.  But in other genres the 30/60 debate doesn't carry even remotely the same weight.  When I think back to the best games I liked during the last generation, not one of them did I think it needed a bump in framerate (OK, maybe Blighttown on Dark Souls).  But games like GTAV, Mass Effect Series, Red Dead, Batman, Fallout, Skyrim, Bioshock all played brilliantly and none of them suffered from only hovering around the 30fps mark did they?
