No one is saying 60 fps doesn't have a place.  It most certainly does in games like arcade racers, Twitch FPS games like COD, or games like Tekken, Streetfighter etc.  But in other genres the 30/60 debate doesn't carry even remotely the same weight.  When I think back to the best games I liked during the last generation, not one of them did I think it needed a bump in framerate (OK, maybe Blighttown on Dark Souls).  But games like GTAV, Mass Effect Series, Red Dead, Batman, Fallout, Skyrim, Bioshock all played brilliantly and none of them suffered from only hovering around the 30fps mark did they?
