Yes but they dont really need to be.  When you consider "high end" this time around on a PC then you are factoring in resolutions thats the Xbox and PS4 dont even need to worry about such as 1440p and above.  High end on a PC these days is taking gaming above 1080p rather than on it or under.  PC gaming in the main is done on a monitor where by the minimum is probably 1080p these days and more often than not now go above and beyond that.  Console gaming is still I would guess done 99.9% of the time on a 720p tv or a 1080p TV and not a 4K screen which is the next logical step up.

At the end of the day, if a console, no matter what generation it is, can outperform a PC in a similar price bracket, then it is achieving what is has set out to do.  And you cannot replicate PS4 graphics, 1080p or 900p or whatever, on a PC which costs the same as a console.  


I agree. I just hope things aren't gettig gimped for the wrong reasons.
