A bit disappointing that Noctis is the only playable character.

Seems very much like Kingdom Hearts.

I do think that because this was originally meant to be a KH like FF13 spin off, some thing like this will stick.

I doubt it will be a trend in FF games and come 16 and 17 it'll be back to the way it should be.

Don't count on it. I'm sure 16 and 17 will both be innovative and be different than other Final Fantasy games before it.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Q: Is it being simplified for casual users? Is is still an action RPG?

A: In order to widen its appeal, we’re developing the game aware that anyone can immediately be able to play it, however the game as a whole is not casual. Because it’s a core game, we have casual controls. If you obtain good weapons and level up, you won’t have to worry about clearing the main scenarios.

havent they learned from previous comapnys and their own nonsense that was ff13-2 and ff13-3 u go for the wide appeal and u dont get that much new people but lose a major lot of your previous fans

You mean FFXIII right? That game was the reason the sequels sold less. Infact the sequels were an attempt to pander back to the core audiences XIII seemed to upset.

I just hope that its not too easy to become overpowered for the main missions. The worst thing is becoming OP when not even trying -_-

You mean the game where Donald and Goofy are of help at all. On Proud mode, they die within 5 seconds of the battle starting. On normal, they last a bit longer, but are mostly always dead.

So all I do with them is take away their items and let them mess about on their own.

I hope there's a FF XII style system. I know gambits aren't great, since you tend to set them once or twice during the game, then only ever really need to make slight adjustments, but they're better than nothing

Here's hoping XVI is turn based again!

I see they scrapped the idea of controlling more than a character. Very disappointing.

Lol what?? I changed them every other time I turned the game on, especially when you are playing through the story aquiring new magic and techniques etc.

You're being very silly. Every company tries to widen the appeal of their games. What the hell did you think they were doing with Final Fantasy VII. The developers want more people to play what they've made.

true ? i am being silly? lets see dead space 3 did that stray away from its roots In order to widen its appeal and wat happened it sucked it didnt bring no new customers but lost alot of the old ones ! resident evil same ting it sucked! dmc same thing it sucked ! plz correct if i am wrong !

Hmmm, that video was actually the least enticing of the lot so far. The pace was a bit too fast for my liking. Also I'm getting the feel that weapons will feel less tangible this time round with the auto swapping and they way they vanish right after attacks etc. I was hoping RPG element will be more prominent then the action bit, but I guess we'll have to wait for more to be shown off. We're really starting to get the sense that the gameplay is designed to mirror the early CG trailer which although is cool, doesn't feature the same variety and consideration seen in typical FF combat :(

Just gotta keep reminding myself that this isn't the real FFXV lol

I would like to know more about this section:

"- There will be advanced evasion and attack techniques depending on equipment and control input."

I'm glad that the auto-guard drains MP and isn't permanent, but I still fear it'll be too easy. I wonder if a manual control mode will be implemented?

I do agree though. Developers need to stop with the widening of appeal comments. All it does is cause chaos.
