Their efforts made to be a serious competitor is appreciated as a X1 owner.

People say MS doesn't need Xbox, yet MS is doing a pretty damn good job supporting it.

Sony apparently doesn't need Vita, so they just let it die. Sony isn't listening to those fans.

Claims Sony let Vita die...despite PreTGS having 1 half dedicated to Vita.

Conviently ignores the Xbox.

Oh, my mistake. I didn't realize how relevant Vita is... in Japan. But are there any noteworthy Vita games coming from Sony? Nope.

Also, you're ignoring the Playstation Vita TV is simply called Playstation TV in the west. Another sign Sony is trying to kill off Vita.

The Xbox had about 5 years of noteworthy software support from MS whether it was published or developed. Sony has basically thrown in the towel on Vita games about 2 years in.

Try being a Nintendo fan ... yes MS deserves credit for listening.

They desserve as much praise as anyone in this business who made mistakes and then corrected them. Sony, EA and probaly many others.

Sony is just killing the Vita name. However, the PS (Vita) TV is still technically a Vita down to its core. And while the American and European branches of SCE aren't supporting the Vita, at least the Japanese and Asian branches are supporting the platform. On SCEJA's conference on the 17th, they're giving more support to East Asian countries with English translations of Japanese Vita games. I wouldn't call that not listening to the fans at its entirety. Also, the entry price for the Vita TV is way lower than the handheld version. Sony is giving consumers more options and they don't have to splurge as much cash to get a Vita. Yeah... totally not listening to its fans... -__-"

MS pulled the plug on the Xbox early to get an early leg up with the 360 and they did the same thing with the 360 after the Kinect was released. I hardly call abandoning the core audience later in the 360's lifecycle listening to its fans. In fact, it costed MS dearly coming into this generation even without the DRM debacle because of its struggles trying to make the X1 not look like a dudebro-only machine.

Ok so lately everyone has been jumping on the new bandwagon of giving Microsoft praise for listening to the consumer.   But do they really deserve any praise at all?  I can already see the hate coming from a mile away but I personally don't think they do.  In reality, when a company(or a human being) has their back against the wall they will do whatever it takes to get out of the situation.  Whether it be,  kiss ass, lie, cheat, steal, bribe, suck hole, toss money around....pretty much anything goes.

Basically the only viable option for MS to do was to try and repair their broken image and to kiss consumers asses a whole lot and to shower them with gifts and make it look like they care about the little guys.

You be the judge

I don't think they do because it was the consumers who actually forced their hand. If someone has to pin you down and make you say uncle, you're not doing it out of good will but rather fear.

Just goes to show you can never trust ANY big corporation.

Hell no, they did it out of desperation and self preservation not cause they wanted to and created a consumer friendly strategy.

They deserve all the shit and then some for what they tried to do.

Yeah because the XBO situtation is totally comparable to the Vita.

*rolls eyes*

You're not even trying anymore are you?

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Not at all.

They never listened to consumers.

They responded to the abysmal pre-order numbers.
