Will the current version of minecraft still be sold on Sony, most likely. Will Future Minecraft Sequel or Products be sold on Sony or Nintendo, very doubtful, but it is ultamitely up to Microsoft. 

Congratulations, you are the winner of a once in a lifetime opportunity to make Notch a billionaire, and to acquire an IP that everybody already has, and no talent for making another one like it.

While I find 2.5 billion on the IP to be too much. It is a valuable IP that if used correctly could land a couple of billions in revenue.

Trust me, a lot of PC users (that play MC Multiplayer) would pay for another copy if it was well coded. Pocket MC can also still make a lot of money.

Next you can disney that franchise. Release a TV Show, or a Movie with a partnered studio like WB or Disney.

I'm all for good sportsmanship from both sides, but... it's a bit weird that Shu congratulates Phil for buying Minecraft. Maybe he wanted to be polite... I dunno.

LOL...I guess Spencer will start congratulating Sony when they start pumping out their fleet of first party in the second and third year. When MS buys something else they'll congratulate them back.
