Hmm... Obviously the second type is correct, huh?
(btw, i HATE 10/10's, it's just stupid. 10 means a perfect game. NOT possible imho )

10s are fine, because it isn't saying the game is perfect, it is saying the game is the best example of the genre that currently exists. Its all about how you look at it

I would give it a 9.5 then
Nevertheless, 8 is still great. 7 for me means pretty good. And 6, good for genre-lovers only

This one is a review of Bayonetta 1 on Wii U.
Damn, sounds like the framerate is worse than the X360 version... |
then i hope the 2 one will get a perfect score
Seemed like a fair review. I got the impression the writer had the same "this is really silly" moments that I did while being impressed with the mechanics.
I didn't like Bayonetta but it was the shell of the game more than anything. It just felt like it was trying way too hard to be over the top. It caused a disconnect for me and I stopped caring. I didn't like the art designs of the characters, either.
Fortunately, those are matters of taste, not quality. The combat system has some nice stuff, especially Witch Time.
I think it's the kind of game where the enjoyment level can vary greatly from person to person. I would have no problem with a review ranging anywhere from a 7 to a 9.
If a nintendo magazine/site gave 8,can we expect 7x scores from the others?
Note: i asked the same thing about Hyrule Warriors and i was right!

Well they gave Hyrule Warriors 8.5 if i recall correctly, so they thought that was better than Beyonetta it seems!
Cross that, the one who gave it that score was Nintendo World Report. Nintendo Life gave it a 7.

that's a review for the first game. |
Oh! Hopefully part 2 scores at least above 9.0.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I agree and the agrument that it can't silightly irritiates me. 10/10 can't litrally mean perfect game because then it would be a measure of how few flaws a game has not a measure of how good a game is.
It's like saying a perfect circle is a 10/10 because it's perfect yet a picasso is a 2/10 because it's barly recogniasable as what it's supposed to be. Or copy of a twilight novel getting a better score than a copy of 1984 because that copy of 1984 has a few typos.
You can only decribe 10/10 as meaning perfect in the colloquial sence of describing something that's extreamly good. Otherwise it simply doesn't make sense.

or maybe the game is good enough to get a 8.
