Well I would assume that since they're not out yet... >.>

GOW has a great narrative, variety in combat, epic sense of scale, intense atmosphere, great enemy designs and amazing boss fights. Bayonetta doesn't even come close. Heck, even Platinum's own Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is better than Bayonetta. |
Two words: Frame rate.
GOW3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYnydQ4t0aU
MGR:R had a similar problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3xynugwVCU
This is a sin in a fast-paced hack-and-slash man. As for enemy designs, Bayo had them too. Those angels looked trippy as hell. I'd say they looked more intricate than GoW enemy design which was good, don't get me wrong.

Framerate doesn't make a game, and it only breaks one when the framerate is absolutely horrible, like 20fps. This is not decisive enough to make one game better than the other. Besides, GOW isn't very fast-paced in general so it matters even less in that case.
Bayonetta's enemies are not poorly designed by any means, I just meant that GOW's enemies are better. And they are certainly better than MGR: R ones, but that game wins out on various other factors.

Are you kidding me? The genres framerate is most essential in are hack n slash and racers. There is no disputing that.
And the staple of a good hack n slash is speed and fluidity. At least you're aware GoW doesn't really deliver in this department.

Sorry what you think is essential and what I think is essential in a hack n slash are vastly different.
GOW doesn't have as "fast-paced" combat as Bayonetta or MGR: R, but I still prefer its combat. If being fast-paced is everything, COD would be considered the best FPS series of all time. But that isn't the case. Heck you could say Dynasty Warriors has more fast-paced combat, but does that make it better? Lol no.
And when did I say about GOW's combat not being fluid? It very much is, any GOW fan can tell you that, as combos can be easily chained to an extent, but not endlessly, as that would have made it too easy.
I'm saying this again, that combat isn't everything in a hack and slash. And while that is subjective, you can't ignore all the other aspects of GOW that are in some cases far superior to Bayonetta. In fact, Bayonetta doesn't best GOW III in any single way.

It's definitely the dark horse this year and there isn't any pressure on the scale of Destiny's for it to do well. I can see it being in contention but winning, perhaps not.
Mario Kart 8 would probably win if not for it's slap-dash battle mode and uninspired character selection.
