Second time I nearly fell for the hype this year (first time was Watch Dogs). I really need to watch out more. :S

I think it would be a must have game if it had the story last 20+ hours....

Obviously not. But just to clarify: There's a lot more to Destiny than its story. I mean, do you judge CoD based on its story lol?

The marketing on those games are so good that it builds such enormours Hype, so when the game is actually released, it's expected more than what it's there, even though the game is very good, it gets poorly reviewed.

It's a two sided sword, but they still got a lot of sales from that, just look at TitanFall and WatchDogs.

That's why generally Naughty Dog and Nintendo do pretty well, they don't do hours of marketing speech saiying that their games are revolutionary incredible, the reviewers generally gets amazing by their quality by playing the game itself.

Not going to bet on review scores. Just look at the composition right now. All small time reviews and some of them good click bait. The sore currently suffers from a handful of bad reviews which make a bigger impact if there's only 15 of them. The reviews from the big sites aren't out yet and they will surely follow their corporate overlords and won't rate lower than 80.
