Destiny or Smash Bros. would probably get it before Bayonetta. Bayonetta being a niche game may hinder it. If it does win GOTY it may help the Wii U.

Nintendo exclusives tend to stay out of GOTYs from what I've seen, though I'm glad A Link Between Worlds got some attention last year. Man that game's awesome. So with that, I'd say not a huge chance, especially with Destiny and Watch (Underscore) Dogs choking up a lot of press this year.

I don't think the genre is popular enough.
Being on the Wii U won't help much either.

I don't expect it to win but it will be nominated.

It'll get one or two, on the basis of it being an exclusive, dark horse, and on a platform no one is talking about.

It looks like a contender, that's for sure.

Let's hope, but in all honest, if they would give GOTY for a Wii U title it would be Smash.

-Dragon Age (if it doesn't suck as the 2nd)

Also, it s not a good ideas to check forum comment to make your mind on what going to be goty. Some of the biggest franchise in the videogame world are pretty much hated on the internet

To be honest, I think the first game generated so much buzz because it had so many crazy elements in it, which pushed up the score. When the sequel comes out, even if it's a better game, I think people will have gotten over the shock value and the score will be lower. Personally, though I thought the first game had some nifty game-play mechanics, I did not like the overall game design and I got tired of the try-hard silliness very quickly.

It might have a chance because this looks to be a very down year, however.

In all fairness a "online only" game cannot be GOTY. But as if GOTY awards mean anything anyway  so i agree Destiny will probably get this redundant meaningless "award".
