I doubt it. Even with Destiny out of the picture, there's still some better contenders for GOTY, Smash especially.

As much as I wish that would happen, everybody is gonna go crazy over Destiny, and call it GOTY, let's be honest. Although Destiny doesn't look like a bad game, everybody is gonna overpraise it.

Wii U games don't get GOTY anything even if they deserve it. Big sites just name off the only first party game they can remember like Mario Kart and just say "best Wii U game" as an afterthought

As I recall Fallout 3 got significantly more GOTY awards than MGS4 that year although Resident Evil 4 was the undistrubted GOTY in 2005 so there may be some hope for Bayonetta. I personally think it'll end up being Dragon age inquisition but if there was a year to win it this would be it because there hasn't been a single great game released so far this year IMO.
