Japan was a tier 2 country, and their we're no lines for anyone getting an X1. So I doubt that tier 2 countries will gives that much of a boost.

I don't agree. If the gap is currently at around 1.8M, and the wiiU doesn't sell a single console between now and the end of the year, then it means the XB1 basically has to sell 2.8M consoles to have a 1M lead of the wiiU.

Now if the wiiU ends up selling an additional 2M consoles between now and the rest of the year, then XB1 has to sell around 3.8M consoles during the same period to outsell the wiiU by 1M units. You are basically expecting to XB1 to sell more consoles in 3 months than it has in the entire year. Thats possible, but I just don't see it happening.

Cause the PS4 has mostly managed to outsell the XB1 by around 3:1 for most of the year, so the XB1 selling ~4M consoles in 3 months will mean the PS4 should sell around 12M in the same time period. And I just don't see that happening. Another thing the WiiU has got going for it, is that nothing is directly competing with it. You either only want a wiiU or you will get a wiiU in addition to another console. Its however stupid to buy a PS4 and XB1. And anyone in the market for an XB1 could just as easily decide to get a PS4 instead.

I reckon 1m+ shipped ahead, but sales of around 500k ahead.

Last year WiiU sold 2m between September-December.  Xbox One Sold 2.9m from November 22 through December.

Im not going to make any predictions as i already have a thread that i made a while ago.  What ill say is it is going to close the gap by a good amount.  

I have Xbox ONe between 9.2-10.5m and WiiU between 9-10m  so it will be close in my books and could go either way.

There was more rope then customers, and theres just one rope and sometimes none at all. 

But japan is the biggest tier 2 country out there, so we can garanty that the other countrys will do even worse. September wont see any big leap in my opinion, Destiny alone is not enough, october will be big but still not big enouff. I still think the x1 will be lucky to pass 8m by jan 1.
