Japan was a tier 2 country, and their we're no lines for anyone getting an X1. So I doubt that tier 2 countries will gives that much of a boost.

We are a tier 2 country, the system is not sold out and they only brought 1.000 units in the first place. We are going to help very little with the boost, maybe for the first week, but after that we are just a drop in the pond.

Lets talk about Wii U and Xbox One sales.

End of August sales will look like this. Wii U will be around 6.9 (Overtracked) million Units sold and the Xbox One will be about 5.1 million units sold. The gap is around 1.8 million

In september, the gap will decrease considerably.

-Tier 2 countries for Xbox One

-Destiny for Xbox One

-Edit: I forgot Fifa + Fifa bundles gonna be huge!

-Micrecraft for Xbox One

-Madden bundles

-Dance Evolution

-Xbox One just got a media update and can play any file on a USB (greater Xbox One value)

-Some other great but smaller titles

The gap should decrease 500k at least

By october the gap should be around 1.3 million

Xbox One will continue to outsell the Wii U because of:

- a higher baseline

-Sunset overdrive

-NHL

-Sunset overdrive bundle

-Forza horizons

-more destiny boost

-project spark

-stand alone kinect

I expect the gap to decrease 300k

The gap should be around 1 million by November

Wii U has:

-Smash bros

-Mario Kart and 3D world bundles

Xbox One has:

-Advanced Warfare bundles

-Halo Bundles

-Assassins creed unity

-GTA5

-Far Cry 4

-Dragon age

I expect the gap to decrease by 1 million

The gap will be avbout zero come this december

Both systems will look weak this december I expect the trend to continue

Xbox One will get another 1 million lead on the Wii U

I expect Xbox One sales to be at least 1 million higher than Wii U by the end of the year. discuss

how will decrease by 500K in september?
wii u sold 190k in september 2013, wii u has doubled may june july august...i m not telling that the same will happen for september of 2014,but at least will sell 300k,hyrule warriors will provide a significant boost combined with the mario kart 8 effect.at least the average baseline will be  60k * 5 weeks= 300k! so xbone 800k,160k weekly...just loooooooool toasty....you thread will be bumped a lot...!

This is why you should research. Last September WiiU did 91k in the US because of the Zelda remake. WiiU will get around those numbers again, not double. In fact there is very little in September that is going to affect the 45k baseline of WiiU, so why expect more than 240k+? Maybe a 10k boost in japan week of Bayo. Outside of that, nothing. Hyrule will do nothing in the west hardware wise.

XB1 will do well because of Destiny + Madden Bundle + Buy any game free with XB1 + Japan (as weak as it is) + China + All the other games + Fifa + Europe Fifa Bundle + Forza Horizons 2.

To "close the gap", MS has to sell more consoles than the competition. This isn't happening, and HASN'T happened all year. To think that "Sunset Overdrive" is going to change things is ludicrous...the bundle isn't even on the top 100 on Amazon! As for the rest of your comments, it's pure speculation. Let's come back to this thread after Octobers numbers come out, then you will see how bad this "prediction" really is.

I doubt it, homie. Why? Minecraft is also on Xbox 360 and no one is buying a X1 for Minecraft.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Yes it has.

Q1 WiiU 310k shipped vs XB1 1.1m shipped
Q2 WiiU 510k shipped vs XB1 550k~ shipped.
Q3 XB1 > WiiU again. They've been closing the gap since the day it hit shelves

See you call it a pipe dream but out estimates are not that different from one another.

This Q MS will ship around 1.6m+ whilst WiiU around 600k (both could do more) so the shipment gap will be null going into October.

Over the holidays I see MS being a little up yoy thanks to more aggressive moves in the US, October and other countries, so like you, 4.5m. But I only see around 3m for WiiU. Either way it gives XB1 a 1.5m shipped lead which means an inevitable sales lead.

I can't see the Wii U selling less than 3.5 million this holiday. As I stated earlier, they have a significantly stronger holiday lineup (Smash & MK8 along with better bundles), more momentum that the previous holiday and we have yet to see the Ammibo effect.

As for shipments  the Wii U only shipping 600k  doesn't seem realistic this quarter, considering  it is already nearing 500k in sales since June 30th and ahead of the XBO momentarily. I don't forsee sales of the XBO reaching more than 400k for this month and Wii U less than 250k - 300k, which would put the XBO ahead by 100k or so for the quarter.

I guess if M$ over stuff retailers and their stores they could ship 1.6 mill but I can't see the Nintendo shipping under 1 million globally either.

Nintendo shipped 500k last Q with Mario Kart. They were also doing better in Japan, Europe and the US (140k in June last Q down to 80k July).

Yes, however July alone was close to the combined sales of April + May (MK8 boosted the last few days), and August is slightly under July. The Wii U has almost sold 500k in 2 months. Add on September when sales begin to pick up again which I believe Nintendo will at least see 60-65k weeks with around 85k for Hyrule Warriors launch. (Around 750k sales this Q and 1 mill plus for shipments).

" Rebellion Against Tyrants Is Obedience To God"

I don't see the X1 passing the Wii U until few months into 2015 at this rate.

None of that will happen. August sales will be stable/see further drops in the US, so about 20k a week in US, 15k in Europe, and it's stabalised at 8k a week in Japan. It's really barely pipping 50k.
