How do you even expect the difference from TLOU to be so high if the game was released last year? It's not 2 decades of difference.
I'm not saying that MCC won't be cool, my problem is how there's so much hate about TLOU remaster but Microsoft has a FREE PASS to remaster.

I don't care about Halo and I don't give two shits about Microsoft as a company, so I'm certainly not giving them a free pass. The only reason they get a "pass" is because they actually put some work into their game. It's not just a port or cross gen game with higher resolution, it's completely redone graphics.
If The Last of Us wasn't a remaster and was a remake, then there could have been a noticeable difference in quality. The Last of Us is one of the best looking PS3 games, but compared to other games on the PS4 it doesn't look that great. Look at Infamous 2 and compare that to Infamous Second Son. If The Last of Us was a remake, that's the kind of jump in quality you would have seen.

Here's Wild ARMs on the PSX, and Alter Code F on the PS2, the following generation. Imagine if they just touched up the image and released the exact same game at a higher framerate. They didn't, so that really doesn't matter.

Being released a year later really doesn't have anything to do with it. The fact that it's on a more powerful system and it's nothing more than an upscale is the point. Every Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed releases one year later than the previous game yet those look better with each release. This was released on an entirely new system and there's hardly much of a noticeable difference with a resolution upgrade. But of course. Let's all just say that a remake is the exact same as a remaster.
The only free pass anyone is getting are all these damn companies releasing remaster after remaster while the apologists are using excuses that people didn't buy the game, etc, etc. Well if anyone wanted to play the fucking game, then they would have bought it on the previous console. If they don't have the console then they'd buy it. That's the reason behind there being exclusives. Hey. This game is exclusive and I really want to play it. Looks like I'll need to buy a PS3 because I don't have one. Not. Oh, I'll just wait until the PS4 version releases because every game on the PS3 is guaranteed to show up there sometime in the next seven years.
