At least the girl doesn't call you Onii chan. Japan fixation with the big brother little sister really needs to stop. The demo kind of give you that impression.

No way man, your clearly her tutor who only has good intentions of making sure she studies up on the summer break =P

LOL, there are so many archtypes in Japanese anime you got to love it!!

Maybe you need to stop deciding what another culture "needs" to stop doing.

LOL, I can decide whatever I like as its my opinion.  Just like you can agree or not agree which is your right as well.

You didn't say IMO, why should I?

As long as Japanese dont complain and love it, thats good.

They are very special people, they have very special...Needs , so we have to treat them in a very special way

UK Labour party member Harriet Harman once tried to make it sexual assault for a man to talk to a woman he did not already know (like talking to a woman at a bar) and that a man who has sex with a woman whether married or not that if he didn't get signed consent from the woman with 2 non related people as witnesses was then rape.

So yeah

Er... is there a link to this? That's a bit hard for me to believe, even from a known arsehole like Harman.

The point is that a game that's centered around observing a school girl in her room is a form of objectification.

I am not a woman, but I could understand the feminist view on this.

I remember you posting in another thread that my attitude was not good. Do you consider yours here good? You're using the words anal retentive and stick up their backside, all caps, and a lot of other unnerving content in your post.

So what gives?

I'm a woman, seeing other women do stupid stuff bugs me.

Calm down, the statement was more tongue and cheek then anything else.  I really do not care how Japan culture is structured.  I made the comment because if you are like me who watch a ton of Anime, you trip over this archtype a lot.

feminazies are allover the place. who cares. dont play it. move on.

Ok I'm not going to condemn this, because I understand it's their culture. Even if it comes off as more or less pedophilia to some western perspectives. Again tho not judging or condemning it. I do have some serious questions tho that I hope someone more familiar with the culture can explain. Why is it always underage school girls? What is wrong with adult woman? I don't mean older woman or cougars, I mean experienced adult woman from 20-30. I do not understand the fascination with girls that look 13-15 years old. Also I don't know if this is true hopefully someone can verify, is it true they have vending machines there that sell underwear because woman are second hand citizens/treated like objects that are frequently raped so the vending machines are there so they can get new underwear after the fact?

**NOTE** I do not know, and personally do not believe that last question is true. So I am only asking for verification. I've heard conflicting stories and there is a lot of weird porn out there so I am asking for input from anyone that has actual experience with the country/lives there.

All Hail the Jester King. The King is back, and I am still a dirty girl prof ;)

This is a pretty funny thread, to be honest.  I mean, that's one of the calmest games I've ever seen.  She's not half-naked, she's not being physically assaulted, and she's not being forced to have sex.  Have the people who are climbing on their horses about this seen any other video-games before?  Like, ever?  You can throw a stick and get worse.  That's the hilarious part.

Is it objectification?  Oh, it certainly has that potential, absolutely.  Of course, so are the female harem games they also introduced.  Where is the rage about that?  Anyone?  The truth is, as a guy, those don't bother me whatsoever, so there is no way I'm going to put my Outrage Pants on when it's the other way around.

Finally, perhaps most importantly, this is a game intended for another country and another culture.  Personally, I don't actually like Japan's high-school infatuation but that's not something that's up to me.  That's up to Japan.  The western media getting bent out of shape over this game is all sound and fury, signifying nothing.

If you think I'm angry enough to warrant Calming Down, maybe you need to reevaluate and calm down. Even if it was tongue n cheek as you claim, you said "Japan" not Anime watcher, Japan is not a country of solely Anime Fans.

FYI, I do watch a lot of anime, and their are lots of tropes in it which annoy me, but its important to recognize that my opinion shouldn't dictate what others enjoy, not to mention erroneously generalizing all of Japan as Anime Watchers.
