So you say the WiiU needs 300k units to catch up. There are ~9 weeks untill the end of October. That's more than 30k units the WiiU needs to sell more than the XBO.
The WiiU lineup for that time is Hyrule, Just dance, Disney Infinity, Lego, Skylanders and Bayo.
XBO has Destiny, every yearly sports game, Forza, Mordor, Alien Isolation, Evil Within, Sunset Overdrive and a shitton of other games (including everything the WiiU has thats not hyrule and bayo).
Considering this and that they are selling about the same amount of units at the moment, i really doubt the WiiU will be able to pull out an extra 30k a week on the XBO. just seems unlikely.
p.s. yes nintendo consoles do get a bigger holiday boost but october is not holiday yet.
Wii U :
3/4 of Destiny sales will be on PS4.
Hyrule Warriors will bring a big push for the U in the west.
The baseline will grow whil X1's will still be temporarily from the Destiny release. After Halo is where the baseline should roughly stay the same until further increase.
Also.....It's the Wii U and Holidays.....Nintendo sells best at Holidays!
- except october will just be the start.
No, that will not happen. Even if WiiU will be constantly ahead of XB1 for the rest of the year and substantial so, the 300K are too much. But additionally, while WiiU has some games, XB1 does too and releases in more countries. WiiU is barely ahead of XB1 currently, I'm not sure it will achieve that the rest of the year.

Why would Hyrule Warriors give the Wii U a big push?
It did terrible in Japan, why would it do great in US / EU?
If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

So you expect Hyrule and Bayo to give the WiiU a hardware boost equalt to MK and no boost for XBO?
Madden bundle, Destiny (split won't be that much in favor of PS4 in US), Tier 2 countries, and lots of software. I can safely say the gap is going to grow in Microsofts favor after August.
Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

I never specified how big, nor said XBO won't get boosts.
Of course XBo has Destiny, halo, fifa, cod ect.....
I'd be shocked if that happens, Wii U needs 300K to catch up to XBO sales for 2014 and the releases should keep Xbox weekly sales above Wii U.

Ok sorry.
I thought you were saying yes to the question OP asked. My bad.
