Why would anyone be angry at a handheld? I would say the advice should more be a visit to a doctors rather than reasons why a new product is good if you feel actual anger about something like this.

As for a new hardware model every 4 years, with double the ram/vram of the 3ds (rumour I know) well that's 4 years with 1 system and then a very distinguished upgrade, by comparison a 400+euro iPhone becoming out of date after a matter of months would be a bigger worry cash wise than a 150euros system being replaced after 4 years.

You're forgetting this is Nintendo, though. They're not allowed to do this. They're just not.

This is just 3DSi + 3DSi XL.

The DSi and DSi XL had much more RAM and a faster CPU too.

It was supposed to get exclusive games too but Nintendo never really followed through on that and just released 3DS instead.

This is just a stop gap, people should relax.

Nintendo said the New 3DS will have an ambient light sensor and face tracking, apparently.

So I'm guessing that's the ambient light sensor. Which will automatically adjust screen brightness based on the amount of light in your environment, like most phones/tablets do nowadays. I would guess the camera does the actual face tracking (though I'm not sure, I'm no expert).

When it comes to games sure 3DS has been great piece of hardware. however go play with a VITA damn that thing is awesome piece of hardware that sadly lacks many games that appeal to portable gamers.

I think this will be their last handheld. After this release, a few years later the Nintendo Fusion is announced. :P

people shouldn't be angry because they should know by now that better things come out later on in something lifespan.

Nintendo has hinted at that quite a few times if I'm not mistaken, so it's most likely going to happen!
