That would be an insanely good deal, but a bit unrealistic. I'm aware of the price of the Mario Kart DLC, but creating a Mario Kart character or Kart would be considerably less work than a Smash character. All of the balancing necessary would make the Smash stuff a bit more costly in all likelyhood. I think 10 bucks for about 4 characters and 2 or 3 stages would be fair. 15 for 6-8 characters and 5-6 stages would also be fine. |
The lowest I would go for new new characters is like $8 for 8 characters, like 4 stages, and like 8 alternate costumes. Two packs with both for $12, just like with Mario Kart 8 would be fine. Anything less for more is a ripoff to me.

Then you have unrealistic expectations.
Edit: The comparison to Mario Kart is not apt. In Mario Kart, you can simply make a track, see how it functions, and go from there. Characters are simply a matter of textures and stats. Any character in SSB has to interact with every other character. That means tons of testing, balancing, and so on.
On the other hand, adding a track does not in any way effect the other tracks, nor does adding a new character really effect the rest of the roster, assuming their stats aren't totally out of line.
Expecting them to add 24 characters to a roster of 48 is a balancing nightmare, and would likely be more work than the tracks (although I'm not a game designer, so I don't know) so expecting it to be the same relative price is not realistic.
