Okay that's fair enough. There definitely is not a shortage of platformers on the Wii U, that is for certain.

I hear Tropical Freeze is hard as fuck at certain parts so i'm not sure if that would be the best family game.

i agree with this, mario bros U was pretty unspectacular when playing alone.

But he isn't playing alone, he is playing with his family. At least that is what I got from the OP.

DK TF will be extremely difficult for children. I'm just saying.

If you don't like hard games you should get NSMBU though!
DKCTF is a lot easier than returns btw, so maybe that helps you!?

Edit: If you play it with your family you definitely shouldn't get DKCTF. Way too hard.
