Nintendo brings innovation to the industry that a other (just one) company loves to copy. Nintendo save the first crash. The Wii brought more people into gaming. I know for sure the Playstation couldn't keep gamers playing. The Playstation market has been on a decline sense the PS2.

Nintendo did bring more people into gaming but it seems they couldn't keep them.

The PS3 still sold great and Nintendo was on a decline since the SNES until the Wii and it seems they're going to continue that decline.
