Forums - Gaming - I am sad ... Really sad

Man. Gaming has come a long way since its creation. But this is the first time I feel to give up this hobby. Digital gaming, streaming service, game developers "scandal" and game journalists "breaking news" are just really unappealing. There was a time when I get excited every new game I got to play. Now its different.

Sure. Fanboy wars was present back then and was more aggressive sometimes. But everybody knew their limits. Now there is no limit. No sense of ownership. I still like it but I dont like the way its headed.

I dont mind about the price, resolution and graphics war and milking. I am tolerant to these because they are still in limit. But now a days everyone is looking to maximize profit in the most unappealing way and attack people personally. And worse thing is that I am turning into them.

I will probably keep playing but current situation is really unappealing. Sorry guys. My intention was not to make people sad. I just wanted to express how I feel. Happy gaming.

Video Games Crash of 2015. Calling it now.

What makes me sad is that Snake keeps aiming but doesn't freaking shoot Link! Just do it already!

Yeah, and it's all thanks to Microsoft.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Me!

It's called growing up . Seriously though, I was the same as you and I'm pretty sure many others were too when they were kids. Kids can easily get excited.

I'm not a Microsoft fan at all, but blaming all the things that alienate older gamers on Microsoft is most certainly wrong.

Can't say I blame you. While gaming is my favorite morale booster to escape the reality of life, it's riddled with annoying console wars that's distasteful. Back in the day between the SNES and Genesis, the console war was....fun. No one took personal digs at anyone and it was just healthy debates for the most part. Now you can go on any gaming forum and see the division between everyone, including YouTube, Facebook, or any social media. Sad indeed!
