Forums - Gaming - I am sad ... Really sad

I sympathize with you, shark. As much as I love video gaming and as much as it's defined my life for 30 years, I've become so disillusioned with it over the past two generations. There's so much that needs fixing: broken, unfinished games that are sold to consumers piecemeal; out of control budgets; unprofessional journalism; and fans who act like shareholders, or, worse, crusaders.

Exactly. Plus the dubious practices of numerous developers and all the recent controversy. This is all bound to reach a breaking point soon enough where everything implodes.

I actually grew up with Rareware games, that's why I hate Microsoft. They butchered freaking Perfect Dark. I also use Linux as my PC platform.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Video Games Crash of 2015. Calling it now.

considering how many awesome looking (not just graphically) games are comming 2015 I'd say nope to that

Yeah, and it's all thanks to Microsoft.

I'm not a Microsoft fan at all, but blaming all the things that alienate older gamers on Microsoft is most certainly wrong.

2015 might have been a bit early, i admit

Don't even joke about a second video game crash!

Would a mobile gaming crach tickle your fancy?

Oh, a mobile gaming crash is something I can actually get behind!

I think it's simply because you're growing up.

I'm not saying that growing up is incompatible with gaming, but some people just aren't into it anymore.

Personnally, gaming helped me through rough times (how cliché, eh ?), and somehow, I still manage to be excited about it. The only difference between now, and when I was a kid, is time. I don't have as much time to play anymore, and I have to say it's a bummer.

But about the whole media scandal stuff, it was predictable. When a media is as exposed as video games, there are scandals. Just like in the music industry, the cinema industry, etc...

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

Don't be sad. Just game for fun. If you don't find it fun anymore then maybe you need a break.
