Who is this? Their opinion is important why?

More important than yours: he justifies his opinion.

So did the ~250 publications that awarded it GOTY last year. Am I wrong?

You're not wrong: those publications played for the narrative. I play games for the gameplay which is the strength of video games as opposed to films. TLoU would have made a better film.

Strange how the greatest game of all time gets the most criticism.

Not that strange. Popularity attracts hate

All of those publications. VIDEO GAME publications. Played it for the narrative...Basically the whole of gaming journalism played it for the narrative and wished it was a proper film. That's one way to generalise.

On the upside, there's a TLoU film on the way. I guess I'll see you there in the front row.

I'll prefer it as a movie. Give me RE4 or Ratchet and Clank to play.

The best game of all time? Resident Evil 4 had nothing to do with this.

TLOU is the RE4 of the 7th Gen.

Is it fuck.

Both Breathed life into the survival horror genre, both considered amongst the best games of their generations, both raised the bar in what could be achieved in a 3rd person game using fine tuned gameplay mechanics whilst having an excellent narrative. Heck, both even are escort missions with Leon and Ashley and Joel and Ellie.

I hate people trying to spread this rumor about TLoU.  TLoU is a gameplay game.  It has cinematic moments in between fairly large areas with groups of enemies that you can tackle with a variety of strategies.  Play on survivor or grounded then tell me the game doesn't have gameplay.  The story of survival and hopelessness feeds into the gameplay where you have to scrounge around and improvise in the middle of firefights.  It's a rush choking someone out PRAYING their friend won't walk around the corner in time to see you because you only have 3 bullets left.  Or trying to avoid the runners eyes as their clicker friends are waiting to bite your throat out if you make a peep.

TLoU received those great scores because it had GREAT gameplay to compliment the great story.  It appealed to old and new school gamers.  Not everyone is going to love it and that's fine but don't throw out totally unjustified criticism.  Didn't like the story?  Fine.  Didn't like the gameplay mechanics?  Fine.  Don't say it was just a film.  That MIGHT be a legitimate criticism for Beyond 2 Souls or Alan Wake or Heavy Rain (though I don't think so because your actions still effect the outcome and the control you do gets you immersed like a movie never would) but not for TLoU.

So many dislikes!!

Try actually addressing points brought up in the video next time bud.

I did. Read back. It's not like he's saying anything other haters have not said. I let him know my opinion by disliking it as well.

Well I dislike your opinion!

See how constructive that was?

Trying to take a dig, how adorable.

There are several problems I have with this video. The enemy AI is weak and it does indeed breakdown. That being said, it only broke down on my three times in over thirty hours, hardly a big deal. Additionally, the enemies have terrible peripheral vision but when they stare directly at you they notice almost immediately. In the video he has an enemy stare directly at him point blank without noticing and I never encountered anything like that (maybe he's playing with an older patch)? I'm at the part where he describes the firebombers and I never had either of these issues, ever. I'm only half way through the video and its half legitimate and half nonsense so again, I'm guessing that patches helped eliviate the problems (I hardly rushed out to buy this game, I don't own a PS3 and had to wait weeks to try it).
