enemy ai. This has already been adressed in the thread by another user. I have no problems with it myself.

LOL. Those games don't come close to the gameplay in TLOU, but they are good. |
It's especially funny when you consider the fact that his primary criticism of The Last of Us is the AI. The last time I checked Resident Evil 4 had laughably bad AI, worse than The Last of Us in many ways.

Enemy AI was adequate but not to the standards shown at E3

RE4 is older than TLoU though. It worked around the AI limitations by smart game design: micromanaging Ashley is binary. She can either wait in place or follow you. She either stands behind you or ducks whenever you aim your gun and in certain sections where managing her would be very difficult, there exists containers where she can be hidden allowing you to go all out.
Fuck I love RE4!

Well I came on here to post something sarcastic about how the best game of all time released a long time ago, but it looks like everyone and their mother beat me to it.

The story was great but the gameplay shown at E3 was NOT what was packaged into the game. |
well given that I played that section in the game pretty much just as it shown at E3 (of course I didn't follow the exact route) I'm going to file this under complete BS on your part and now I'm questioning if you've ever even played the game.

Adding the ability to hide Ellie, at least in a few of the more hectic situations, would have been a great lesson to take from Resident Evil 4. I watched the rest of the video and I must admit, the AI programmer Max was obviously dishonest which is disappointing. That being said, Resident Evil 4 still had lousy AI that was inferior to many other games at the time. I should not be able to kill a dozen Ganados by standing at the top of a ladder or on the other side of a window with a knife drawn. I also discovered an AI problem with one of the bosses which was pretty sad. Oh well, both games are overrated, still good though.

I found the ally AI pretty good in TLoU (all I want if for them to stay out of the way and not get detected which ND did for me) and the enemy AI was either terrifyingly hard to outsmart (infected) or very good at keeping an eye on their freinds (humans). but thank you for an actual criticism instead of just saying the game is a movie or something lol
Wait...Xenoblade was re-released last month? Damn, and I bought mine for $90
I'm halfway through Last of Us and it's definitely out there so far among best games of all time. Would be hard to choose between GTA V, Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock, and Uncharted 2.
