A lot of the people here. Possibly because they're core gamers. Sunshine is one of the most hated Mario platformers along with the brilliant Super Mario Bros 2.

Wow, Sunshine winning in the poll by a decent amount right now.

While I thought Sunshine was a bit of a mess, I will say that if Nintendo fixed all of the problems with it and made a sequel that felt more like a true Mario game, it could be really good. I did like the dynamic of hovering around with the water pack; just fix the level design, give us better challenges, don't focus on cleaning up the place, completely redo the god-awful camera, and leave out the horrendous voices for the characters. Could be turned into something both unique and good.

If I had to pick between the two, definitely Galaxy 3. Sunshine is my least favorite 3D Mario game, and probably my least favorite Mario game overall. Just didn't enjoy it that much.
